Sand Boarding

Sand boarding (also Sand Sand surfing) is a board sport just like snowboarding but it takes place in sand dunes. It involves sliding down or across a sand dune while standing with both feet strapped to a board. More daring people use a board with no bindings, a method which is considered far too dangerous. This sport has followers throughout the world but it is more popular in desert regions such as Dubai, UAE that has a limitless supply of sand dunes.  Erik Johnson a professional sandboarder and snowboarder holds the Guinness  World Record for Speed on a Sandboard at 51 mph.

Kitesurfing

Kitesurfing is an extreme sport which consists of using a small board to surf on a water surface by using a kite which is moved by the power of the wind. This is quite a challenging sport and is considered not as dangerous as other extreme sports. Due to its popularity (an estimated 210.000 people practiced kitesurfing in 2006 and their number have grown during the recent years) ther are kitesurfing schools out there where you can learn the basics or even become a professional.

White water rafting

White water rafting is a challenging recreational activity using an inflatable raft to navigate a river. It is usually done in white  water in order to thrill and excite the raft passengers. This activity has gained popularity since mid 1970s. It is considered an extreme sport because it is quite dangerous. There are 6 grades of difficulty in white water rafting. The first 2 grades include rough waters and rocks and it requires basic rafting skills. Grade 3 and 4 requires more  whitewater experience and skills while the 5th and 6th grade requires advanced skills and can be very dangerous. Those who experience grade 6 without serious injuries are widely considered lucky or extremely skillful.

Paragliding is a recreational and competitive sport of flying paragliders. The pilot sits in a harness suspended below a hollow fabric wing whosw shape is formed by its suspension lines. It has all to do with aerodynamics. The flight can last many hours and cover  many hundred of kilometres. Of course it requires skills and technique abilities in order to perform a good and lasting flight. It is really exciting despite being a high risk sport. Accidents are inevitable that is why safety comes first.

Sky surfing- is a type of skydiving where the skydiver has a board, very similar to a snowboard or a skateboard, attached to his feet. Th skysurfer performs aerobatics during freefall. This extreme sports requires skills and a lot of practice. The simplest skysurfing technique is standing right on your board during the freefall. You need to keep balance which is not an easy thing to do. After learning the basics the skysurfers learn to perform more complicated techniques. More advanced aerobatics such as loops, rolls and helicopter spins are difficult to be mastered even for pros.
The Skysurf was invented by two french skydivers Dominique Jacquet and Jean-Pascal Oron in 1986 but it became popular in 1990s. Just a minority of skydivers club permit skysurfing because of it being really dangerous.Do you have the courage to try Sky surfing?

they have to wear warm clothes to skip the cold. It requires to be quite fit and in a good shape to prevent injuries or incidents during the activity. This is a sport for professionals and is wide-spread. If you want to try it go ahead but remember safety comes first.
